Information for New patients
On your first visit to save time, you may book online through our online booking system HotDoc under Huntlee Doctors and complete the online patient registration form via HotDoc prior to your appointment.
Please bring the following to your initial appointment:
- A current and valid Medicare / DVA card (if applicable)
- Any concession cards (e.g. Pension or Healthcare card)
- WorkCover:
Please provide the name of the insurer and claim number details at your appointment. If you are experiencing any difficulty obtaining this information, please contact ICARE insurance for assistance.
If you have no claim number or details, you will need to pay the SIRA fee.
Walkin Appointments
Our Practice is an appointment base booking, and Walkin appointments are available if there is a free consultation available at that time, and will usually be required to wait, Emergencies will be triaged and may be required a longer wait.
Patients who require communication Services
TIS – Interpreter – If you require a translator or other assistance with communication, please notify reception when you make an appointment. A phone interpreter may be available but will need to be arranged prior to your appointment.
If you require an Auslan sign language interpreter during your appointment, please make a booking by phone to Auslan Services: 1300 AUSLAN (1300 287 526)
Patient code of Conduct and Behaviour
Huntlee Doctors is committed to providing a safe, respectful, and welcoming environment for patients, visitors, and staff. This ensures that all individuals can receive or deliver healthcare services in a secure and professional setting to carry out their work in a safe/ secure environment.
To support this commitment, all persons accessing the practice—whether in person or via telephone—are expected to comply with this Code of Conduct.
Expected Behaviour
Patients and visitors must conduct themselves in a manner that:
- Respects the rights, dignity, and privacy of others
- Maintains a calm and cooperative environment within the practice
- Supports staff in delivering safe and effective care
Unacceptable Behaviour
The following behaviours are not tolerated and are considered breaches of this Code of Conduct:
- Excessive or disruptive noise that disturbs staff, patients, or visitors
- Use of threatening, abusive, or obscene language, including shouting
- Offensive or discriminatory remarks, including those of a racial, sexual, or derogatory nature
- Damage to property or Theft
- Spitting
- Threatening / aggressive gestures and / or actions
- Inappropriate behaviour involving alcohol / substance misuse.
- Intimidating or violent behaviour towards practice staff / doctors.
Failure to comply with this Code of Conduct may result in appropriate action being taken by the practice will be removed from the practice list and declined consultations. Violent behaviour (verbal or physical) is never tolerated and may result in police prosecution.
The practice also has a code of conduct for staff to ensure professionalism and consideration of patient needs and privacy in line with Code of Conduct for General Practice Policies.
Appointment Cancellation Policy
We kindly ask that you provide at least 2 hours’ notice if you are unable to attend your appointment. This allows us to offer the time to another patient who may require urgent care.
To cancel or reschedule your appointment, please contact reception on

Cancellations and Fees
If less than 2 hours’ notice is provided, or if you do not attend your appointment, a fee of $85 may apply. Outstanding fees must be paid before further appointments can be made.
Results and Reminders
We are committed to preventive care for all our patients. We may send you a reminder for your recall with our third party HotDoc offering you preventative health services appropriate to your care to book your appointment with your doctor for the results.
To ensure patient confidentiality any reports/ results will not be discussed over the phone at front reception staff. Results and medical concerns are best discussed with your doctor in consultation.
Please phone us to book your recall appointment. We all share the responsibility to make sure your tests are acted upon. Please don’t assume your results are normal.
AI Usage
Our doctors use secure AI scribe software to assist with recording consultation notes, allowing your GP to focus more on your care and less on administrative tasks.
All notes are reviewed and confirmed by your doctor.
The AI does not provide medical advice or replace your GP’s clinical judgement.
